Without Elisandro Porto, there would be no S4A. After co-founding and building Brazil-based SPRO IT Solutions 15 years ago, Elisandro moved to Canada (specifically, Calgary) in January 2015 and co-founded S4A IT Solutions after witnessing a strong need for a boutique services consulting business with a focus on SAP technologies and mobility. S4A has continued to grow ever since – our team grew by 41% in 2023 alone.
We asked Elisandro a few questions so you can get to know him better.
S4A takes a very client-centered approach. How do you foster long-term relationships with clients beyond project completion?
At S4A, our client-centric approach is one of our key core values and is fundamental to our operations. From the outset, we’ve prioritized simple things like listening to our customer’s opinions, requests, and suggestions. But we go beyond that. Time and time again we have incurred extra costs to ensure our solutions align precisely with our clients’ expectations. The “out of scope” speech hasn’t stopped us from going that extra mile to deliver exceptional results. We also work hard to align our products and their roadmaps to what our customers expect, allowing them to strongly influence future features. Our dedication to being customer-centric is a combination of factors and behaviors that, together, bring us closer to our clients and uphold our commitment to excellence in delivery. The numerous customer references we receive long after project completion serve as a testament to the enduring strength of these relationships.
How does S4A adapt to technological shifts and market demands to better serve your clients?
Our S4A leadership and the broader team at large is vigilant about monitoring current market trends and assessing or experimenting with emerging technologies. One strong area of focus is naturally the no-code/low-code solutions designed to enhance mobility and user experience, which aligns closely with contemporary industry demands. Any new SAP technologies are top-of-mind for internal research and proof-of-concept initiatives as necessary. Investment in continuous training for our team is a key factor in getting ready for what the future brings and we prioritize a good portion of our budget to support that.
What are you most excited about S4A-wise in the coming year?
We have so many good things coming later this year that we’ll be really flying high in 2025. These new developments include:
1) A new product launching this fall Envoy Balance, our cutting-edge Enterprise Asset Management Planning & Scheduling solution
2) A new version of our Envoy Tempus (time entry) app coming very soon
3) The implementation of a new structure model to manage our company – based on a very famous method that is popular with multiple consulting services businesses
4) The ongoing evolution and growth of our leadership team and them having them take a more active role in our future initiatives
5) Focused improvement on our corporate culture and investment in processes and indicators (KPIs)
Each of these initiatives is being meticulously treated as a project, allowing us to leverage the PMI methodology to ensure we deliver them on time, on budget, and with high quality standards.
Looking ahead, 2025 is poised to be a year of consolidation, with a continued commitment to being customer-focused, and an expansive array of customized and innovative product options for our customers to choose from – anytime, anywhere.
